Hello Ladies (and hopefully Santa),
Several of the lovely bra bloggers in the lingerie community have created personal wishlists with their picks for what they’d like to see St. Nick bring down the chimney this year (check back tomorrow for a compilation), and I want to offer up my own “Dear Santa” post.
1. The Susanna Basque from Fantasie and Matching Short
The cream of the crop for me this year is, without even the faintest shadow of a doubt, the new Susanna Basque from Fantasie. Having always owned standard bras, I am in love with the gold backdrop which perfectly showcases the stunning black lace, and I find the longer, torso shaping quality of the design to be a sexier alternative to traditional shapewear. Nicole of Fussy Busty reported that the materials feel divine and luxurious, perfectly befitting its stunning aesthetic. Since the Susanna is so unique, I naturally need the matching bottom. Naturally.
2. More Natori Bliss Girl Briefs
Despite my proclivity for matching sets (see Item 1), I wear my Bliss Girl briefs often, and some could use replacing. Followers of the blog and customers of the store know I rave about them constantly, and I’m going to do it again. These panties are the most comfortable I have ever owned, and I am convinced that Natori captures the essence of comfort and weaves it into the decadently soft cotton. As Lynne of Dana-Co (Natori’s parent company) remarked, the bliss girl briefs are “bliss for your bottom!”
3. Marc Jacobs Dot Perfume
I received this as a sample when I went to the Belk Fashion Preview several months ago, and I am ordinarily not a perfume person. Too may of the scents are overpowering and cause headaches or nausea; however, I gambled and fell in love with the light, citrus notes. Not nearly as heavy or pungent as most perfumes, a spritz of Dot lasts me all day at the shop.
4. Kate Spade New York Sparkly Fishnets
Chances are that if you’ve visited the store, you’ve seen me wearing my practically signature fishnet stockings. They are more comfortable than pantyhose (to me) and never come with a “control top,” so I am always interested in unexpected twists in design. These sparkly fishnets from Kate Spade are the perfect dose of fun and fashion!
5. What Katie Did Maitresse Garter Belt
Garter belts and I are locked in a love/hate relationship because I find them impossibly alluring and sexy. However, in practice, my stockings migrate down my thighs during the day, thus necessitating near constant adjusting. It’s annoying, and I don’t have time for it. However, I’ve heard positive reviews of this high-waisted garter belt from What Katie Did and how the six metal hooks (as opposed to the usual four) keep stockings in place all day.
6. The Isla from Sole Society in Red or Turquoise or Both
I don’t care that I can’t wear a heel that high to work. The Isla heels are pretty, and that is all the justification I need.
7. Freya Marina Twilight Chemise
In my quest to improve my lounge and sleep attire, I’d love to snag a Freya chemise. The fabric is soft but the added support in the chest keeps me from looking frumpy, and I love the dark purples and teals of the Marina print.
8. Oscar De La Renta Flirtacious Ruffles Georgette Robe in Black
In the course of my morning routine, I dress in my lingerie for the day before moving on to hair and makeup, and I think this sexy little number would be perfect to use as a dressing gown. It’s glamorous and would let me feel like starlet from Hollywood’s bygone days!
9. e.l.f. Essential Holiday 15-Piece Nail Polish Set
15 bottles of nail polish for $15? Need I say more?
10. The Masquerade Rhea in 30HH or J
More than the other items on my list, the Masquerade Rhea in higher cup sizes is truly a “wish” item as the cups stop at H. However, since I still stare at it longingly while it pretends not to notice, I am crossing my fingers and toes that they expand their size range!
Your turn: What would you like to receive this holiday season?
