Saturday Spotlight: Body Love & Bra Reviews

Hello Ladies,

The last week of summer provided a smorgasbord of amazing blogs that I wanted to share with you today.  Prime spotlight, however, needs to go to Chrystal of By Baby’s Rules for her poignant, accurate, and biting dissection of the breast implant myths often asserted as fact.  As a bra store owner and a woman, I find many of these assumptions to be judgmental, cruel, and downright wrong, and I was pleased to see how Chrystal handled the sensitive subject matter.

Nicole of Fussy Busty wrote a fabulous entry on body love and overcoming your personal insecurities and criticisms.  If you don’t meet the narrow definitions of beauty in our society, you are often made to feel like you should be embarrassed about how you look, unhappy with your body, and unsatisfied with yourself.  Nicole combats the societal pressures and offers grounded wisdom on loving and accepting who you are right now.

A couple weeks ago, I wrote an entry on matching sets, expensive fashion panties, and the dilemma they create.  Holly Jackson of The Fuller Figure Chest published a blog on how you can create your own matching sets for the bras you love.  Her ideas are fresh and practical and can help you create gorgeous matching sets that fit your body, lifestyle, and wallet!

Furthermore, there were some fabulous bra reviews posted this week!  Windie of Undiegamer reviews the Panache Andorra (my current favorite bra) while Caroline of Curvy Wordy posts a comprehensive review of the Ewa Michalak PL Bratki which sports a Tarheel blue that I love.  Sweets of Sweet Nothings reviews both the Curvy Kate Emily and Cleo by Panache Marcie—the former I own and the latter I would love to try.  Finally, Cece of Miss Underpinnings created a video review of the Freya Piper longline bra that really lets you see how the bra will fit and feel.

What other great articles were posted this week that I missed?  Also, if you have a blog that you’d like to see featured on our Saturday Spotlight or added to our blogroll, please email.  Be forewarned that I do use my own discretion for whether I decide to publish your blog or link to your website.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Erica

Hi Scott! I didn’t, but customers did. They weren’t as crazy long term because the stretch lace at the center often didn’t contain tissue, especially if there was any softness. Panache is working on retooling their non-padded plunges, and I’d be more inclined to recommend trying one of those instead.
