Saturday Spotlight: Brands Coming Soon!

Hello Ladies and Gents,

We’re departing today from our usual Saturday Spotlight, and instead I want to showcase the brands we hope to carry in Sophisticated Pair within the next two years.  Eventually, all of them will grace the racks of our shop, but for now, I’m interested in which ones you would like to see available first.  With different price points, sizes, and features, there’s a little something for everyone.

Parisa Fe

This is way too hard to pick! Too hard! Okay, so I’m loving Tutti Rouge after seeing yours in person, but I also kind of dig Claudette’s neon colored bras and the price on Creme Bralee is super but then there’s that beautiful upscaleness of Fauve. Didn’t really narrow it down too much, did I?

Well, you narrowed it down by half, so that’s something!

I’d strongly push for tutti rouge! With that size range and no US distributor right now, that’d be awesome!

There is definitely a business advantage there beyond just having the lovely lingerie in the store. 🙂

I know I read within two years, but when, on when, might you get the Tutti Rouge in store? Of everything on the list, it’s the only one in my size! 🙁

Hi Holly! It depends on what kind of feedback we receive as well as how our continued talks with the brand go. So far, the people at Tutti Rouge have been lovely, and they are willing to work with us and discuss importing. If all goes well, we could be carrying them this year.

Will you be posting an update on your blog when (heaven forbid, if) you start carrying them in store? I’ve considered ordering from the British store that carries them, but shipping is so expensive (and then, return shipping if it doesn’t fit is horrid). A US store would be great! And, since I am close to the top of their size (34HH or 34J), knowing it runs small, has me worried that I would order and have to send it back, which just stinks!

Thanks for responding – I hope it goes well. 😀

Definitely, Holly! We’ll also probably allow special advanced orders too in case there’s a style or size in a style that we won’t be carrying. Once I know more about the importing process and when is a good timeline for having them in the store, I’ll post all of the details here and promote it on Facebook/Twitter. 🙂

            Fantastic!!!!!

Will special advanced orders for styles or sizes not being carried be returnable if they don’t fit? Being at the top is always worrisome (although, I’m not above altering a 36J if I need a 34JJ!).

Thank you again for responding, and responding so quickly. Enjoy your weekend.

As long as they’re unworn and have their tags, you can definitely return them. Basically, we’ll treat it like we do all fashion pre-orders. You get 10% off the price of the bra (15% off sets) and shipping will be $3 to $5 depending how much is ordered. If the bra doesn’t work out, then you can always mail it back, and we’ll stick it out on the floor. So, risk-free!

What’s nice about Parisa Fe is they offer some great, sexy options for women in the smaller cup sizes across multiple bands. It’s rather difficult especially for women in the 38-44 B-DDD market to find cute lingerie and push-ups.

I think Tutti Rouge is a must, with their impressive size range. While Fauve is lovely, I don’t know that the price point is going to work well. Whenever I’ve bought Fauve, back when I fit into their size range, I always waited for their bras to go on sale. The quality of the bras is impeccable, but it’s still hard to justify paying that price for one bra, when I can buy two or three Cleos for the same price.

I’d also go with Claudette, since they plan on expanding their range up to K cup within the next few years. Sculptresse will also hit a really needed market.

Thanks for weighing in, Laura! Tutti Rouge is definitely gaining in support here. I hadn’t realized Claudette was going to expand their size range. That would be lovely, especially because they’re one of the few companies that offers really bright, neon colored bras. I’d love to snag that green one shown above for myself!

I got to speak to one of their reps at CurveNY, and if my memory serves correctly, Fall 2014/Spring 2015 was their target for expanding their cup range. 🙂 Made me very happy to hear!

I won the giveaway for two of Tutti Rouge’s bras from The Lingerie Addict’s giveaway, and both bras were divine. I wore the Lilliana set all yesterday for the first time, and the bra was insanely comfortable. No wires digging in, I didn’t have to adjust very much, etc. I think TR is a great brand to introduce women to who are leery of trying a bigger cup size. I honestly feel like TR understands that the bras need to be both beautiful AND comfortable. As much as I adore Panache/Cleo, their wires always come up a little too high and dig in by the end of the day. And as much as I’ve adored Fantasie/Freya, their wires don’t tack on me and the shape of their unlined bras is incompatible with my breast shape. TR is like a perfect combination of the two!

I actually wore the Liliana all day on Friday for the first time, and I feel the same as you. It was very comfortable and did not have any issues with wires digging or fabric rubbing. I was able to put the bra on and forget about it. The only downside for me is that I am a little limited in what I can wear with the bra simply because I do get a bit of quadboob which can be seen under some of my tops.

Sadly, some of these lines do have more limited size ranges than the others. Hopefully, more manufacturers will get on board with expanding the cup sizes they offer!

Sculptresse would be a great brand for you to try! Their Pure bra uses some incredibly soft fabric which feels great against the skin.

Visually, b.temtd and Felina really appeal to me, but they don’t carry anything close to my size. Fauve is so expensive. Claudette did not appeal to me. Of all the brands presented, I’d only be realistically able to buy Tutti Rouge, simply because it looks all right, is moderately priced and carries my size.

B.tempt’d and Felina both have been working with some size expansion, so that may be on the horizon. I think Tutti Rouge looks way better in person than in the promotional shots because there are so many lovely details which do not translate to the camera.

I’ve been wanting to try Parisa Fe – I think in a moulded cup I may fit.

I tried a Creme Bralee and it was quite promising – unfortunately it wasn’t a plunge, so no hope of a fit.

Since I’ve had recent success with wider set straps in plunges, a Fauve plunge may be an option. I seriously love the designs, all around. They may be the closest I come to “Polish cakes on a plate” bras – given my width.

Claudette is a great line – feel like I’ve tried most of them by now (Dessous and Paramour reviews coming up). Hint: stock the Paramour – it fits builds like mine very well, and fills the gap of comfortable, fun, sexy full coverage plunge without side support. The Sophia Minx is a great little bra, too. People don’t talk about it enough. And the Cool Cotton – wow, something a large chest never thinks it will find. So comfy you think it’s wireless. The whole line has those wider, crescentish cups that are the best alternative I’ve found to Panache lines. They seem to fit a variety of shapes, too.

Thanks for the info on Claudette! It’s always nice to hear from people who had an opportunity to sample the brand. I think the Dessous is just so fun with all those neon colors, but a cotton bra would be great too. Creme Bralee is definitely starting to make a mark, and the lower price are a welcome change for women used to paying $50+ for bras.

Ellisa, both of them are stunning, and having seen them both in person, I can honestly say the design details are a bit lost in the photos. They’re so much prettier in person!
