Spring/Winter Lingerie Fashion Preivew: Goddess

Hello Ladies,

The final Eveden brand we carry is not usually known for offering much in the way of fashion, but with a recent emphasis on developing basics in new and exciting colors, Goddess has upped its style ante lately.  Factor in the more wallet-friendly price point, and the result is a series of beautiful workhorse bras for fuller-figured women!

Kayla

  • Goddess says:  A printed version of the Keira range in fabulous animal print, teamed with coordinating trim.
  • Sophisticated Pair says:  The frame of the Keira/Kayla is similar to the Elomi Caitlyn with this style offering a little more coverage and a partial fabric section at the top cup instead of a mesh with embroidery.  Some women enjoy both styles while others have a clear favorite.
  • Price:  $48.00 for Underwire, $46 for Soft Cup
  • Ship Date:  Brown Leopard is available immediately for a few more months.  Snow Leopard ships in January, and Purple Zebra ships in June.
  • Basic Colors:  Fawn, Chocolate, and Black in Keira
  • Sizes (US):  38-46 DD, 36-46 DDD-H, 34-46 I-K, 34-44 L, 34-42 M-N for Underwire, 40-56 B-C, 38-56 D-DD, 36-56 DDD-H for Soft Cup

Keira

  • Goddess says:  Wear a smile with Keira’s fabulous banded underwired bra option.  Ultra supportive satin simplex cups feature a sheer top-cup with a flattering neckline for a quietly confident look.
  • Price:  $42.00 for Underwire, $40 for Soft Cup
  • Ship Date:  February
  • Basic Colors:  Fawn, Chocolate, and Black
  • Sizes (US):  38-46 DD, 36-46 DDD-H, 34-46 I-K, 34-44 L, 34-42 M-N for Underwire, 40-56 B-C, 38-56 D-DD, 36-56 DDD-H for Soft Cup

Hannah

  • Goddess says:  A new molded bra style in smooth simplex with a subtle sheen.  This style features innovative seaming to give great fit and support.
  • Sophisticated Pair says:  The new seaming on the Hannah seems to be designed to correct fit issues with standard molded, non-foam cup bras, namely puckering of the fabric near the top or sides.
  • Price:  $56.00
  • Ship Date:  April
  • Basic Colors:  Beige
  • Sizes (US):  38-52 C, 36-52 DD-DDD, 36-48 G, 36-46 H, 36-44 I, 36-42 J

Audrey

  • Goddess says:  A new bra style in smooth matte simplex.  This style offers maximum support, coverage, and uplift combined with the fantastic fit that an “M” frame shape gives.
  • Sophisticated Pair says:  The shape of Audrey reminds me of a combination of the Alice and Jayne bras.  Because of the lace, women aren’t always as fond of the Alice, but the straps and thinner material of the Jayne leave some women, especially those in higher cup sizes, searching for an alternative.  Hopefully, the Audrey will fit the bill!
  • Price:  $50.00
  • Ship Date:  December
  • Basic Colors:  Beige
  • Sizes (US):  34-50 G-K, 34-48 L, 34-46 M, 34-44 N

Of the new styles, we’re excited to see how the Audrey and Hannah fit and feel.  As I mentioned, women in higher cup sizes searching for a soft cup often must choose between the more rigid lace of the Alice or the strange straps and thinner fabric of Jayne.  The Audrey looks like it hopes to combine the best of both styles into one comfortable and supportive soft cup.  Furthermore, both the Goddess and Elomi smoothing bras can be prone to wrinkling on the side of the cup, and the Goddess bra goes so far as to minimize tissue.  The Hannah will hopefully improve on both of those styles to give women one more smoothing style to test.

Don’t forget to check out the other previews we offered of Elomi, Fantasie, and Freya; however, if there is a demand for Huit or Fauve, I’ll be happy to post previews.  However, as I have no experience with these brands, I can only offer names and pictures.

Have a great day ladies!

It’s hard to find soft cups for larger cup sizes that aren’t full coverage unfortunately. I imagine it’s a bit tough for manufacturers to work without the underwire and still give support for women with heavier breast tissue. I’m excited to see what Curveturiere has to offer in this market!

Anja, no problem! Look for it sometime this week although I won’t be able to provide as much detail on pricing/sizing with these as we don’t carry the line in our store.

Hi Erica, thank you very much! Unfortunately, Fauve is a bit pricy (but some weeks ago I tried a bra from Fauve and I think they are worth the money) and I couldn’t afford them either but I love looking at the pictures and dreaming about owning a Fauve Set 😉

I’ve always wanted to try Fauve myself, but since they stop at an H cup, I’m not sure I’d be able to fit their styles. The designs are gorgeous though!

The Goddess Keira is similar to the Elomi Caitlyn, but not the same. The Elomi Caitlyn has more projection in the cup. Compared to the Caitlyn, I need to go one cupsize up in the Keira to get the same projection. I have a similar issue with the Panache Tango II Balc, compared to Elomi I also have to size up in that bra.

Yes, you are right that the Caitlyn and Keira are similar but not identical. A lot of women will like both, but we’ve also seen women pick a clear favorite. The Rita/Sakura/Libby bras are also similar to the Caitlyn, but they have a slightly lower center gore and side underwire/wings in case anyone is looking for more options.
